Odin Berg Dies Monday Morning At Home Here

Odin Berg, 81, a pioneer resident of this area since 1913, died at his home here yesterday morning. Funeral services have been tentatively set for Thursday under the direction at Merett Mortuary where the body will lie in state until the services. Interment will be at Elmhurst cemetery.

Mr. Berg was born in Frondheim, Norway in 1868, and came to Sioux City, Iowa, at the age of 21. He moved to Goodwell in 1913 and Guymon in 1925.

He is survived by his wife, Eline, and three daughter, Mrs. Amos Eslinger , Guymon; Mrs. George Byers, Guymon; and Mrs. Ben Aushun, Puyallup, Wash. there are four sons, Oscar, Emil, Albert and Oswald, all of Guymon.

One brother, Peter Berg, lives in Beresford, South Dakota, and one sister, Mrs. Kristiane Bleke of Melhus, Norway. There are 22 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
