Funeral services for Mrs. Emma Tansey, stage and screen actress noted for her portrayal of "Little Lord Fauntleroy" as a child actress, and mother of Robert Tansey, producer of western pictures, will be conducted tomorrow at 2 p.m. at Pierce Brothers Hollywood Mortuary. Cremation will follow. Mrs. Tansey was born in Louisville, Ky., and had lived in California for the past 19 years. Prior to picture work she toured the country with a dramatic company. She was last seen on the screen in "Meet John Doe." She leaves three sons, Robert, John, writer; and Sheridan, actor. The family home is at 947 S. Cole Ave.

According to her death certificate, she passed away at Valley View Sanitarium, Van Nuys, California, on March 23, 1942. Pierce Bros. Hollywood was the funeral director and cremation was at L. A. Crematory on March 26, 1942.

In January 1920, Emma Tansey, 42, was residing with her sons, John, 18, Sheridan, 13, Robert, 22, daughter-in-law, Katie, 19, and grandson, Robert, 1y 6m, at 162 Anderson Avenue in Palisades Park, Bergen County, New Jersey. The sons' father had been born in St. Louis, Missouri. Emma was born in Kentucky, as were her parents, and had no occupation. All three sons were born in New York and were moving pictures actors. Robert's wife Katie was born in New York, as were her parents, and she was a moving pictures actress. The baby had been born in New York. [1920 Federal Census]

Robert was a motion picture director, and Emma and Sheridan were motion pictures actors. [1930 Federal Census]
