Coming to Columbia six years ago from Springfield, she made a large number of friends here who were grieved to learn of her untimely death. She was a devoted member of the Springfield Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, two daughters, Sebelle and Lillian Efird of Columbia; one son, Raymond Efird of Columbia; two step-sons, L. E. Efird of Columbia and J. A. Efird of Graniteville; five grandchildren, one sister and two brothers at Springfield.
Funeral services will be held at 3 o'clock this afternoon at the Dunbar Funeral Home. Interment will be in Lybrand Cemetery.

Funeral services for Mrs. Julia Efird, 55, wife of B. F. Efird, who died suddenly at 9:30 Thursday morning at her home, 1023 Main Street, were held this afternoon at the Dunbar Funeral Home. The Rev. A. B. Ferguson officiated. Interment was in Lybrand Cemetery, Lexington County.
Mrs. Efird came to Columbia from Springfield six years ago, and has made many friends here. She was a faithful member of the Springfield Baptist Church.
