Mary Jane Stanton, 63 of Towanda, passed away suddenly at the Robert Packer Hospital on Thursday, Dec 22, 1994
Born on Feb 1, 1931 in Terry Township, Oak Hill, PA, she was the daughter of the late William and Maude Cole Smith. She was a graduate of Wyalusung Valley High School class of 1948.
Throughout Mary Jane's life, she devoted her love and time to her family and helping others, which showed by her 15 years of service to the people of the Bradford County Manor, first as a volunteer, then as their activities director, where she retired in 1992.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Mr and Mrs Jay and Sue Stanton of Wilmot, Mr and Mrs Karl and Jill Stanton of Mehoopany, a daughter and son-in-law, Mr and Mrs Chuck and (JoAnne) Beers of Monroeton; a sister, Mrs Elizabeth Smith of Greene NY; nine grandchildren (omited).
Mary Jane was predeceased by a brother Harry Smith a daughter Susan Amy Stanton and a grandson Tony Stanton.
A graveside memorial service will be held
