LYONS - Beth Arlene Hoss died Nov 15, 2012 in Mesa, Arizona. She was born in Rice County, Kansas to James and Rosabell Hobbick Connery. She graduated from Lyons High School, and attended Sterling College. She was a former member of the United Methodist Church, Lyons. For over 60 years, Beth played in bridge clubs in Lyons and Gold Canyon, Ariz. She was a former resident of Lyons, currently living in Gold Canyon, Ariz.
On Dec. 30, 1949, she married Dan Hoss, in Tucumcari, New Mexico. He survives. Other survivors include: children, Lane and Jody Hoss, and Lynne and Gene Saunders, all of Wichita; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday December 11, 2012, at the United Methodist Church, Lyons, with the Rev. Quentin Bennett presiding.
Inurnment will be in Lyons Municipal Cemetery. Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons, is in charge of local arrangements.
