Margaret Shields Hughes, 93, died Friday, April 26, 2002.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Victory Memorial United Methodist Church with the Rev. Mike Chaffin, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Elmhurst Cemetery by Henson-Novak Funeral Directors.

Mrs. Hughes was born Feb. 22, 1909, in Lebenon, Smith County, Kan. She married James "Donald" Hughes on Nov. 16, 1927, in Spearman.

Survivors include a daughter, Donita McCarrell of Guymon; a son, Jim Hughes of Hot Springs, Ark.; a sister, Ruth Brown of Guymon; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to the Margaret Hughes Memorial,established for Victory Memorial United Methodist Church; or the Dunaway Manor in care of the funeral home.
