Obituary:
Brenda Gail Anderson McCollum, age 61 of Chatsworth, GA. passed away Monday, November 13, 2011 at Chatsworth Healthcare Center in Chatsworth, GA. Brenda joined the Welch Cove Primitive Baptist Church by baptism on May 31, 1959. She was a native of Graham County, NC. and the daughter of Margie Elizabeth "Beasley" Anderson and the late Elder Coyt J. Anderson.
In addition to her father she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles David McCollum in April of 2009, her daughter, Crystal Gail McCracken, and her brother, Cecil Anderson.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her step son, Tony McCollum of Chatsworth, GA; daughter, Michelle "McCracken" Hughes of Chatsworth, GA; step daughters, Teresa Garrison of Chatsworth, GA; and Laura McCollum of Maryville, TN; brother, David Anderson of Robbinsville, NC; and sisters, Wanda Silvers of Burnsville, NC; and Deborah Gilreath of Tunnel Hill, GA. She had 4 grandchildren, Adam Hollifield, Dustin, Coyt and Cub Hughes. 5 step grandchildren, Brandon & Rebekah Garrison, Brittany & Jessica McCollum and Johnathon Hughes. 1 great grandchild Peyton Hollifield.
Funeral Services were held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at Welch Cove Primitive Baptist Church. Elder Ricky Boring and Elder Ronnie Inman officiating. Burial will follow at the Welch Cove Cemetery in Fontana Dam Village, NC.
