Gloucester Point - Hilda Phillips Kemp, 84, died at St. Francis Nursing Home on Jan. 7, 2006. Mrs. Kemp was employed by Maida Development as a sorter technician for 25 years. She was a member of Open Door Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Joseph Earl Kemp; daughter, Teresa L. Sullivan and husband, Kenneth, of Gloucester Point; son, Ronald E. Kemp of Yorktown; sister, Esther Abbitt and husband, Bill, of Little River, S.C.; three grandchildren, Ryan and Andy Kemp of Newport News and Suzanne Sterling of Gloucester Point; five sisters-in-law; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel of Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point. Interment will follow in Gloucester Point Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
In Mrs. Kemp's memory, memorial contributions may be made to Open Door Baptist Church, Newport News, Va.
