Sidney Carroll Tiffin, of Tecumseh, was born on Monday, September 22, 1919 in Maud, Oklahoma to Madora and Walter Tiffin. He left this world to his heavenly reward, Saturday, December 8, 2012 at the age of 93 years and 76 days.

Brother Sid as he was known to many was a Pastor for the Churches of God General Conference for over 60 years, holding pastorate at churches in Tecumseh, Stroud, Oklahoma City and Moore. Sid served 25 terms as President for the Churches of God Oklahoma Eldership over the years and was a devout leader and mentor for many ministers and lay people alike. He was a contributing editor the Churches of God national statement of faith, "We Believe", and led many, many souls to a life changing faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. He was Dean for many years at Summer Church Camp in Tecumseh and other area and always enjoyed time with the youth of the church. He regularly attended Church at Tecumseh First Church of God where his grandson Todd Tiffin is the pastor.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mildred Tiffin; parents, Walter and Madora Tiffin; son, Don Tiffin; three brothers; and four sisters.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Kathryn "Dottie" Tiffin; daughter and son-in-law, Sherri and Roger Fry, of Midwest City; brother and sister-in-law, Gene and Loretta Tiffin, of Norman; 6 grandchildren, Cindy Spaulding, Gina Dixon, Todd Tiffin, Shannon Fry, Becky Stringer and Amy Lenochan; 16 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; and other extended family and friends.

Although he will be deeply missed by his friends and family, we take great comfort in knowing that he is now rejoicing in the presence of our Heavenly Father and many dear members of the family of God in Heaven.

Visitation will begin 9:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 11, 2012 and continue through service time. Service will be 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at Tecumseh First Church of God with Pastor Todd Tiffin and Pastor Doyle Ginn officiating. Burial will follow at Sunnylane Cemetery in Del City.
