Frank A. (Moe) Pacilla, 80, of Washington, died unexpectedly Monday, December 27, 2004, in Washington Hospital emergency room.

He was born July 23, 1924, in Washington, a son of Louis and Lucia Iacovitti Pacilla.

Mr. Pacilla was a lifelong member of Immaculate Conception Church, Washington.

He attended Washington High School.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the European Theater. He was involved with military security at the Nuemberg War Trials.

He retired from Washington Police Department as a lieutenant detective in 1969.

He then worked in security at Universal Cyclops in Bridgeville until he retired in 1986.

He was a lifetime member and past president of Alpine Star Lodge 9, Italian Sons and Daughters of America; American Legion, Edwin Scott Linton Post 175; and Fraternal Order of Police.

He enjoyed his family and loved them very much.

On October 9, 1961, he married Rose Marie Pirge, who survives and to whom he had been married for 43 years.

Deceased are a daughter, Nell Ann Pacilla; three sisters, Laura Elia, Eva M. Rundquist and Angelin Golensky; and a brother, Valentine J. Pacilla.
