OBITUARY: Beaver Dam Argus, Friday, May 18, 1906, page 5.

DIED - TREICHL - At her home, 218 Fourth street, this city, on Monday, May 14, 1906, of heart disease, Mrs. Louisa Christina Treichel, aged 76 years and 4 months.

The deceased was born in Griefsvald, Koenigreich, Prussia, on the 14th of January, 1830, and was united in her native land in 1855, to August Treichel, who died in Beaver Dam, on December 25, 1876. They came to America in 1861, after a short residence in Montreal, Canada, and came to this city where she has since made her home. To this union seven children were born, who all survive to mourn the loss of a loving and devoted mother. The children are Mrs. Frank Knorr, of the town of Calamus, Mrs. Louisa Tohl, Mrs. Jacob Waldeck, Miss Minnie Treichel, and Wm. G. Treichel, of this city, and Albert F. Treichel and Otto H. Treichel of Milwaukee.

The death of this good woman was a great shock to her family and friends, as it was so sudden and unexpected, she being sick only four days.

The funeral took place at 2 p.m. Thursday, from the First Ev. Lutheran church. Burial at Oakwood.
