Widow of Former
Mayor Here, Dies
Mrs. Elizabeth Fagnan, 86, widow
of a former Bradford mayor, George
C Fagnan, of 75 Kennedy St., died
at 3:40 p.m., Tuesday at Bradford
Hospital following a week's illness.
Born in Emporium, Pa., Jan. 30,
1862, Mrs. Fagnan came to Bradford
with her late husband 70 years ago.
Her husband, who had also served
as McKean County treasurer and
operated the Fagnan and Green
Drug Store at the present site of
the Pecora's Market and Davis Cake
Shop. Main St., died in 1908.
Mrs. Fagaan was a member of the
First Methodist Church, Bradford.
Survivors include a daughter. Miss
Mary Fagnan, and a sister, Mrs.
Katheruie Tough, both of Bradford.
Funeral services will be held at
the Hollenbeck Funeral Chapel Friday
at 2 p. m. The Rev. David Anderson,
pastor of the Wesleyan Methodiss
Church, will officiate. Burial
will take place in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call at the chapel
between 2 and 5 p. m. and 7 and 9
pm. Arrangements are under the
direction of Hollenbeck's.
