Man Accused Of Vehicular Manslaughter Gets Bond Raised
A judge raised the bond of a driver accused of vehicular manslaughter to a half million dollars. Kevin Gibson is accused of killing 14-year-old boy while driving drunk.
The highway patrol reports that Janice Horne and her son Cody were rear-ended by another car driven by Gibson.

Gibson is charged with second-degree murder, DWI, and driving with a revoked license. In a televised court appearance, Judge Greenlee more than doubled Gibson's bond after learning that the he had a prior driving-drunk conviction.

It is difficult for Janice Horne to talk about her dead son.

"My son was the best son you could want," said Ms. Horne. "I want this man to be brought to justice. He doesn't have any business being behind a wheel at all. He killed my son."

Firefighters that worked the wreck visited the Horne's home. Cody wanted to be a firefighter.

Investigators will come out to the scene of the accident on Monday to determine the speed of Gibson's car when it hit the Horne's vehicle.
