Born July 27, 1936, in Ford City, she was the daughter of the late William E. and Mary (Skukalek) Kunst.
Joanne grew up and was a lifelong resident of Ford City. She was devoted to her Catholic faith.
She was an active member of Christ Prince of Peace Catholic Church, the Rosary Society (Legion of Mary), Christian Mothers at Holy Trinity, a Sunday school teacher of CCD and very active in the parent-teacher associations in the Catholic school system. She prayed the rosary daily.
Joanne loved reading westerns, watching EWTM, gardening, and enjoyed sitting outside in good weather. She was devoted to her faith and family and will be dearly missed.
In addition to her parents, Joanne was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Keith Wilson on May 15, 2014; and siblings: William Kunst, Jr., Robert Kunst, Edward "Jerry" Kunst, Loretta South, Joseph Kunst, Richard Kunst and Barbara Slavka.
She is survived by children: Harry "Keith" Wilson, Jr., of Gardena, Calif., Janice Harmon, of Ford City, Richard (Traci) Wilson, of Kittanning, Joan Bartek, of Ford City, Kenneth Wilson, of Ford City, Jean Wilson, of Ford City and Ronald Wilson, of Mentor, Ohio; grandchildren: Michael, Vanessa, Jared (Meghan), Jason (Kristin), Joshua and Megan; six great-grandchildren; sister, Debra Burkett, of Ford City; brother, Jim Kunst, of Kittanning; and extended family and friends.
Family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday, May 5, 2022, in Mantini Funeral Home, Inc., 701 Sixth Ave., Ford City.
Prayer service will be conducted in the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 6, 2022, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at Christ Prince of Peace, with The Very Rev. Eric Dinga and Father John Gribik as co-concelebrants.
Interment will follow at Holy Trinity Cemetery.
