Article from SCV Florida Blockade Runner

"On July 26,1997 Members of the Sgt Charlie Dickinson Camp#534 (SCV) in Palatka, Florida dedicates a new headstone for Pvt James Eubanks at Gadara Cemetery.(Clay County) The ceremony was especially memorable for two of Private Eubanks' ancestors who were in attendance. Pvt Eubanks served in Captain Mays Company of the Florida Partisan Rangers, Co B 2nd Battalion Florida Infantry and Co G of the 10th Florida Infantry before his death April 30, 1865"

Also according to Pension Filed by his widow Eliza Geiger they were married November 14, 1844 or 1849 Hard to read. I found him and Eliza in the 1860 Census of Putnam County. James was born around 1813. If anyone knows an exact date please reply.

special note: The Florida 2nd Infantry Battalion, formerly the 2nd Battalion Partisan Rangers, was organized during the summer of 1863 with five companies, later increased to six. Serving in Florida the unit fought at Olustee, then in June, 1864, four companies merged into the 10th Florida Regiment and two into the 11th Florida Regiment.
