David Lynn Ragland, age 65, of Murfreesboro, died Friday, December 7, 2012. Mr. Ragland was the son of the late Charles Andrew and Mayzell Gregory Ragland. He attended White House High School, was a Veitnam Veteran and attended the Baptist Church. Mr. Ragland was a retired 38 year employee with Avco. He was an avid deer hunter, horseman and worlds best Pa.
A graveside service will be 11:30 AM Sunday, December 9 at Cothran Cemetery in Bedford County. Rev. Mike Allen will officiate.
Mr. Ragland is survived by his wife Cathey Taylor Ragland; children H.M. Bowling and his wife Kellie of Gulf Breeze, FL, Pam Lovett and her husband Todd of Columbia, David Lynn Ragland II and his wife Lisa of Portland; grandchildren Jacob Bowling, Alex Boyd, Shelby Gaither, Jewelia Johnson, Erin Bowling, Mackensey Ragland, Haley Lovett, and Lexi Bowling; great-grandchildren Nomi Gaither, Calli Gaither, J.C. and Zach Bowling; brothers J.W. Ragland and his wife Jeanne of Goodlettesville, and Raybern Ragland and his wife Judy of Bethpage; and sister Sherry Goins and her husband Steve of Cottontown.
Visitation will be 6:00 until 9:00 PM Saturday, December 8 at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.
