Jess A "Tony" Milliron, 85, South Court Street, DuBois, died Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2004, at Christ the King Manor.

Mr. Milliron was born Dec 15, 1919, in Timblin, the son of the late John W and Mary "Hazel" (Anthony) Mllliron.

On Dec 16, 1978, he married Ruth E. Nagle Pisaneschi in the Canoe Ridge Church of God in Rossiter. She survives.

Mr. Milliron was a veteran of World War II, having served in the US. Navy as a Boatswains Mate Second Class. He previously owned and operated a meat market and grocery store in Cloe. He was also a mine foreman and worked at P&N Coal Company for many years.

Mr. Milliron was a member of the James J Patterson VFW Post 813 in DuBois and the Independent, Political and Social Club and the Olympic Club, both in DuBois. He was also a member of the Punxsutawney Elks and Moose Club. He was an avid horseback rider.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, James A. Milliron of Ocala, Fla; a step- son, Robert Pisaneschl of DuBois; a granddaughter, Jami Lynn Milliron of Ocala; and two sisters, Katherine Jacobson of RD 2 Reynoldsville and Jean Ann Lyle of Charlotte, NC.

He was preceded in death by a brother, John Milliron.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm today at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home DuBols. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 31, 2004, at the funeral home with Pastors Pat and Chris Ramsey officiating.

Full military honors will be accorded at the funeral home by the James J Patterson VFW Post 813 Honor Guard.

Interment will follow at Lakelawn Memorial Park.

Memorials may be placed with the charity of the donor's choice.
