On Friday morning, December 2, 1938, at 6:30 o'clock, Calix Braud, in his 80th year, beloved husband of Alma Clark, father of Albert A. and Robert R. Braud, Mrs. John Brookshire, Mrs. Lillian Meynier, and the late Henry C. Braud, brother of Mrs. J. L. Brugier (Grace) and Mrs. Adam Braud, also survived by 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, a native and resident of this city.

Relatives, friends and members of New Orleans Police Department are invited to attend the funeral from the P.J. McMahon and Sons Funeral Home, 4800 Canal Street, near cemeteries, at 9 o'clock Saturday morning, December 3, 1938, followed by services at Mater Dolorosa church.

Interment in St. Louis Cemetery No. 3.

Calix's parents were Desire Braud and Gertrude Marie Riviere of St. Gabriel, Louisiana. He had three brothers and two sisters. They were: Thomas Adam Braud, Robert Gabriel Braud, Paul Arthur Braud, Mary Gracieuse "Grace" Braud Brugier, and Antonia Anne Rivet Braud (half-sister).
