Death Of Mrs. J.O. Bozard

Was Most Estimable Lady

Mae M. Barber, wife of Judson O. Bozard, passed away at the family home on the Five Mile Road, last week Friday evening, January 28th, 1927, at three fifty-five o'clock after a short illness with pneumonia. It was sad indeed for the family, to have mother meet such an untimely death. We call it untimely because she was but 55 years of age. It is sad to think that they had just moved into their new home intended for mother to enjoy its comforts and conveniences for many years to come, but it was not to be. She was called by the Master, to Whose will we must all bow.

Mrs. Bozard was the daughter of the late Henry Barber, and was born in the town of Humphrey, on the Five Mile, May 6th, 1872, lived in this immediate vicinity all her life and is survived by her husband, J.O. Bozard, one daughter, Ella Mae Bozard, one son, Howard Bozard; two brothers, A.W. Barber and George Barber of Olean and one sister, Mrs. Ella Wilber of Allegany.

The funeral services were held from the house on the Five Mile, last Monday at 12:30, and at the First Baptist church, Olean, Rev. F.W. Jackson, officiating, at 1:30 o'clock which was largely attended and a long corsage(sic) of automobiles followed the remains to the Five Mile cemetery, where it was laid to rest. The family has the sympathy of a large circle of relatives and friends.

Among the out-of-town relatives and friends in attendance at the funeral were: Mrs. Steve O'Hara of Salamance; Mr. and Mrs. Will Root of Ellicottville; Mr. and Mrs. WilliamBlowers of Franklinville; Mrs. Laura Barber of Warren, Pa.; Mrs. Truman Bozard of Bradford; Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Bozard and daughter Bernice of Lancaster, Pa.; Mr. and Mrs. Walter Storms, Mrs. Annie Watras of Bradford; F.W. Rifle and son Robert of Smethport, Pa.; Arthur Bozard of Hinsdale.
