Betty Lois McFadden, 84, of 39 Glenview Ave, Oil City, died at 2 a.m. Friday, Dec. 7, 2012, at her home.

Born Nov. 20, 1928, in Sandy Lake, she was a daughter of the late Robert S. and Tamar Ibbs McIntire.

Lois attended Glenn School, a one-room school, and graduated from Sandy Lake High School in 1946.

She was employed for 20 years at the former Oil City Hospital in the pharmacy and medical records, retiring in 1991.

She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women.

Lois enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and crocheting.

On June 4, 1948, she was married to Henry "Max" McFadden, who survives.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Douglas McFadden and his wife Barbara of Missouri City, Texas, and Keith McFadden and his wife Martha of Oil City; a granddaughter, Molly Whitling and her husband Ed of Rocky Grove; two grandsons, Jonathan McFadden and his wife Leah of Savage, Minn., and Michael McFadden of Seoul, Korea; two great-grandsons, Carson Whitling and Cameron Whitling of Rocky Grove; and one sister, Margaret Jones of Sandy Lake.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles McIntire and George McIntire; and one sister, Jean Seirsen.

Friends may call from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Monday at Morrison Funeral Home in Oil City.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.

Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Sandy Lake.
