Ben G. Mitchell, age 87, of Seymour, passed away Saturday, December 8, 2012. Ben was a retired member of I.U.O.E. local 917.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe Wesley Mitchell and Smyth Irene Foulks Mitchell.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Alene Pruitt Mitchell, Daughters, Peggy (Bill) Pendleton and Joann Sifford of Seymour. Sons, Edward (Becky) Mitchell of Seymour and Richard (Debbie) Mitchell of Oak Ridge. Grandchildren, Wesley (Nichole) Lumpkins, Dana (Jerry) Latham, Brenan (Diana) Mitchell, Lorie (Brad) Chasteen, Amy Cupp, Paul Sifford, Jessica Mitchell and Elizabeth Lackey. Great grandchildren, Shanna Lumpkins, Mitchell Lumpkins, Seaira Mitchell, Layne Mitchell, Bradyn Chasteen, Brittney Cupp, and Jayden Cupp. Sister, Irene Gibson, of Purcellville, VA.
