Professional Hockey Player. A native of St. Albert, Alberta, he played the position of Right Wing for the Montreal Canadiens from 1940 to 1947. Some of the highlights of Benoit's career included playing for the Canada team in the 1939 World Championships, and winning the Stanley Cup in 1946. He retired from hockey in 1949, and passed away in Spokane, Washington, at the age of 65.
