Services Held Saturday for George Masser

George Leo Masser, 55, a resident of San Antonio for the past year, was buried in McCaulley Cemetery following funeral services in McCaulley Baptist Church at 10 a.m. Saturday.

Mr. Masser, a teacher in Harlingdale Independent School District in San Antonio, was formerly from McCaulley.

He died at 8:45 p.m. Thursday at San Marcos after suffering an apparent heart attack.

Gene Johnston, minister of the Hamlin Church of Christ, officiated. Burial was under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.

He was born Sept. 17, 1918 in Carpenter, Ok. and married the former Betty Abbott at McCaulley on Sept. 21, 1940.

He was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Betty; two sons, Ted of Fredericksburg and Michael of San Antonio; two sisters, Mrs. Arvin Williams and Mrs. Charlie Webb, both of Abilene; and two grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Lewis E. Madden, J. B. Jayroe, Floyd Briscoe, Lewis Johnson, Layman Hicks, and Dwaine Stevens.
