CLIFTON PORTER JAMES, JR. 82, died Friday, August 17, 2012. Family will receive friends on Monday, August 20, 5-7 p.m. at the Bartlett Event Center located at 5784 Stage Road, Bartlett. Graveside service will be l0 a.m., Tuesday, August 21 at West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery. Mr. James was a USAF veteran, former business owner in Memphis, and retired from the food brokerage business as well as Ford Motor Company. He was a 50 year member of Unity Masonic Lodge. He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Yukie James and one daughter, Betty James; his parents Clifton P. James, Sr. and Lydia Ratton James of Memphis, TN. He is survived by one son, Jimmie (Diane) James of Cordova, two daughters, Patti (Robert) Javer of Roswell, GA and Penny (John) Weeks of Collierville; his grandchildren, Chris (Imelda) Javer, Jason Javer, Melissa Smith, Theresa Javer, John Weeks IV, David (Melody) James, Lisa Javer and Beth James; also his great-grandchildren, Nathan Smith, Jocelyn Javer, John Clinton Smith, Jr., Riley Weatherford, Lexie Smith, Summer Javer and Alan Javer.
