Mary "Dorothy" Stumpe, 77, died today at HCA Putnam Community Hospital following a short illness.
Coming from Olustee, Stumpe has lived in Palatka since 1937. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Palatka.
She is survived by one son, Robert W. Stumpe of Palatka; one daughter, Gail Clark of Palatka; two sisters, Gail Clark of Palatka; two sisters, Gertrude Owen of Olustee and Rosa Mott of Jacksonville; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. The funeral is 2 p.m. Sunday at Johnson-Overturf Funeral Home in Palatka with Dr. Robert J. Mills officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill East Cemetery.
