SACRAMENTO, Ky. –– Guy Miller Garst, 77, of Sacramento, died Friday, June 22, 2001, at his home.
He was born in Muhlenberg County, was a retired brick mason, a member of Sacramento United Methodist Church, and an Army veteran of World War II.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Gloria Samples Garst; five daughters, Mary Ann Lee, Evie Huff and Kathy Garst Gish, all of Sacramento, Debby Wilhite of Rumsey, Ky., and Della Carter of Bowling Green, Ky.; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one brother, Wesley Garst of Ojai, Calif.; one sister, Sarah Belle Patterson of Sacramento; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel, with the Rev. Janis Campbell officiating. Burial will be in the Sacramento Methodist Cemetery.
Visitation is after 4 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until service time Monday at the funeral home.
