Roy Lee Hobby,74, died January 17, 1984 at Dorminy Memorial Hospital, Fitzgerald. Funeral services were held at Callie Garbutt Baptist Church. Interment followed at Rocky Pond Cemetery in Coffee County.

Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Mae Cox Hobby, son Alfred Hobby, Mrs. Dorothy Lankford, Mrs. Thelma Wooten, Broxton, Mrs. Leitha Bush, Jacksonville, FL, Mrs. Jan Lehman, Jonesboro, brother, W. B. Hobby, Atlanta, sister, Mrs. Ola Bostic, 13 grandchildren and 5 great grand-children.

Mr. Hobby was a retired farmer and textile worker was born October 9, 1909 in Tift County, the son of the late William and Pinky Anne Willis Hobby. A 20 year community resident, he was a member of Callie Garbutt Baptist Church.
