He was born in Bartlesvile, Ky., the son of the late Frank L. and Grace Fay (Booz) Sutton. He married Norma C. Ferguson on Nov. 26, 1932, in Marion, and she died Jan. 5, 1998. He was a World War II veteran, serving from April 3, 1943, to Nov. 11, 1945.
Mr. Sutton was a manager for the Exxon Oil Company in Venezuela for several years. He was a member of Episcopal Church of the Transfiguration in Bat Cave, N.C.
Mr. Sutton came to the Warren area from Lake Lure, N.C. and entered United Methodist Memorial Home on Oct. 15, 1997.
Survivors include a cousin, Norma Thompson.
He also was preceded in death by a sister, Doris Rumple.
