Francisco Dominguez [Francis Jr](1811-1855) Born in Assumption Par., LA, Died, old part St. Mary Par,(now Iberia Par)), LA. As a youngster he moved to the Terrebonne Parish area with his parents around 1818 - the son of Francisco Dominguez (1783-1847) & Ana Maria Sanchez (1785 -1874).

Francis Jr married Marguerite Tonton Broussard (1818-1848), daughter of Isidor Broussard and Marie Broussard dit a Petit Rene in 1838, at St Martin of Tours church, St. Martinsville, LA., witnessed by Antoine Romero (brother in law. He obtained an interest in an 81 acre tract near Isle Aux Cannes (between New Iberia and Patoutville) near Lydia – earlier part owned by his father. This tract was adjacent to similar other tracts owned by several of the Romero family. Francis farmed his acreage.

He died 1855 leaving his three children as minors and orphans, as their mother died earlier in 1848: ages of Donatien 1839, Marguerite Irma 1840 & Felicien 1843 – barely teenagers. He was buried in St Peters Church, New Iberia.

Francis Dominguez Jr's sister, Ana Maria(1809-1864), married 1823 to Antonio Romero Jr. of the Attakapas area – she had met Romero when he traveled to market cattle in the New Orleans area. They then made their home near other Romero family in the Attakapas area. Following Francis Jr's death his sister, Ana Marie Romero, took charge of the three orphan minor children: Donatien, Irma and Felicien. Antonio Romero was granted administration of the Dominguez estate consisting of the land, buildings, personal effects and one slave – which amounts to $1,565. There was considerable litigation over the estate settlement due the children and the case went to the Louisiana Supreme Court twice, ultimately settled in favor of the children.

Later on Marguerite Irma Dominguez (1840-1894) married Silvestre Francois Romero (1811-1890), a brother to AntonioII.
