He was born September 13, 1959, to Lera and Charles Evans in San Augustine, Texas.
Survivors include his sisters, Darlene Evans, Dalene Socia, Dorothy Williams and Glenda Gary; brothers, Jerry Atkins, Edward Evans, Eric Evans, Thomas Evans, Curtis Evans, Chester Evans, William Evans and David Evans; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Gilbert is preceded in death by his parents.
