James Aderian Hile, 85, died Tuesday in a local hospital.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Elmwood Memorial Park with the Rev. Wayne Oglesby officiating, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory.
Mr. Hile was born in Cleo, Mo., and graduated from Morning Star Consolidated High School in Hot Springs, Ark. He moved to Abilene in 1945. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and was the widower of Frances Magretta Young Hile, whom he married in 1934 in Eastland.
Survivors include three sons, C. Arlen Hile of Morenci, Mich., Thomas Hile of Fort Worth and Robert "Bert" Hile of Wimberley; one brother, John Hile of Monette, Mo.; one half-sister, Augusta Jackson of Conroe; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be sent to a favorite charity.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today in the funeral home.
