Son of Marlin L. and Lois (Haws) BOX.~LEE BOX, CHIEF CONS. CO. SHIFT BOSS, DIED SUDDENLY
Lee BOX, aged 33 years and a shift boss in the employ of the Chief Cons. mine at this place, died at one of the Salt Lake hospitals late last week. The young man's death is thought to have resulted from diphtheria, although the reports published in the Salt Lake papers indicate that he was a victim of the influenza.
Mr. BOX had been a resident of Eureka for several years during all of which time he followed mining. In recent years he engaged in leasing and later took a position with the Chief, being a shift boss at the time of his death. He leaves a wife and one child, also a number of relatives, among them a cousin, Mrs. Frank BRISKIE, of Eureka.
The remains were shipped to Mount Pleasant for burial.
