Frank F. TOBIE (12/19/1920 - 12/01/2012)

TOBIE, Frank F. Our wonderful father passed away on December 1st at Park Place Retirement Home. Frank was born on December 19, 1920 to Harvey and Eunice Tobie in Scio, Oregon.

He enrolled at the University of Oregon, but left school in 1943 to enlist in the army. While training for the Signal Corps in Michigan, he met and fell in love with Elizabeth Rowe and they were married on September 25, 1944. He was discharged from the army in 1946 and returned to Eugene, OR to complete college.

They moved to Spokane in 1951 and Frank began working for the city as a planner. He retired in 1986.

In 1999 he lost his beloved wife, Betty.

He is survived by his three children, Mary, Milton, Susan and son-in-law Greg, two grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and two great-great- grandchildren.

He was a great role model and a kind and gentle soul and will be dearly missed. Memorials may be made to Liberty Park United Methodist Church where he was a long standing member.

Services will be held there on Friday, December 7th at 11:30 with internment at Greenwood Cemetary at 2:30.
