Mrs. Julia A. Marshman, widow of William Marshman, of Yerkes, died Saturday afternoon at the Glisson Convalescent Home, Oaks, after a long illness. She was 83.

Born in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia, she came to this area many years ago.

She was a member of the Asbury Methodist Church of Norristown and a charter member of Valley Forge 330, Order of Eastern Star.

Surviving are a son, George, of Yerkes, owner of the Sanatoga Race Track and Hatfield Speedway; a sister, Mrs. Ella Mason of Riverside, California; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services will be conducted at 2 P.M. Wednesday from the Charles J. Franks Funeral Home, 21 Main St., Trappe.

Officiating will be the Rev. C. Ross Whitby, pastor of Asbury Methodist Church. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Norristown.

Friends may call between 7 and 8 Tuesday evening at the Franks Funeral Home.
