She was born at home on Moody Road in Palatka in 1929. She worked as a clerk at the former McCrory's in Palatka and the former Neisner Brothers Department Store. She was a 1950 graduate of Mellon High School and was a member of Peniel Baptist Church. She loved sewing, crochet, crafts and knitting. She was a very frugal lady, full of life and could sometimes be feisty.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Agnes Scott; two brothers, Bennie Scott and William Scott; and two sisters, Geraldine Gore and Ruby Scott.
Surviving are her dear friends, Paul and Clara Griffis of Palatka; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be Monday, Feb. 6 at Oak Hill East Cemetery with Pastor Benny Reynolds officiating.
