LEXINGTON - Katherine Stroud Grimes, former resident of Marion, died Thursday, December 6, 2012.
She was a daughter of A. T. Stroud and Estelle McKenzie Stroud. Mrs. Grimes and husband, George G. Grimes, lived in Marion County prior to locating in the 1990s to Columbia. She was predeceased by husband of 60 years, George G. Grimes.
She is survived by two sons, Jimmy W. (Joyce) Grimes of Ballentine and Michael E. (Rhonda) Grimes of South Congaree; two brothers, Spencer Stroud and A. T. Stroud; one sister, Faye Martin; 3 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by two brothers, L. C. Stroud and McDonald Stroud; and four sisters, Claire Elliott, Lila Todd, Mary Alice Thompkins, and Hazel Cooper.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, December 8, 2012, at 2:00 p.m., New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, Conway.
