James was a loving husband, father and brother. He worked as a car salesman in California where he enjoyed meeting new people before moving back to Lufkin in 2009. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing and watching his favorite football team, the Cowboys. Best of all, James always had a huge smile and never met a stranger.
Survivors include wife Tonya Holland, and daughters, Natividad and Rosemarie; son, Alfonso Lynwood Holland; sister, Judy Lynn Guerra, sister and brother-in-law, Jane and Shaune Warner and sister and brother-in-law, Joey and Jeff Southern; mother-in-law, Bonnie Hinrichs; brothers-in-law, Bruce Hinrichs and Bill Hinrichs; sisters-in-law, Christa Hinrichs and Crystal Hinrichs, and a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his grandparents, Julius and Myrt Atkinson of Lufkin, and R.D. and Madie Holland of Lufkin, father-in-law, William Hinrichs Sr. of California.
A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, December 9, 2012, at Calvary Baptist Church in Lufkin; Pastor Randy Brown officiating. In lieu of flowers please make donations to The American Liver Foundation or to Calvary Baptist Church of Lufkin.
