MAIDEN - Shirley Lanaska Robinson Anderson, 72, of Mount Anderson Road, Maiden, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2004, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem.
Born Dec. 5, 1932, in Gaston County, she was the daughter of the late Cecil and Biddie Robinson. She was a member of Mount Anderson Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Leonard Robinson.
She is survived by her husband, Donald P. Anderson of the home; five sons, Donald P. Anderson Jr. and David J. Anderson of Maiden, John R. Anderson of Lincolnton, Harold L. Anderson of Mooresville and Joe W. Anderson of Dallas; a daughter, Maria E. Anderson of Mooresville; two brothers, Ed Robinson of Kings Mountain and Mickey Robinson of Holden Beach; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
The funeral service will be held today, Friday, Dec. 17, 2004, at 2 p.m. at Burke Mortuary Chapel in Newton, with the Rev. Charles Ingle officiating.
Burial will follow at Mount Anderson Baptist Church Cemetery in Maiden.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. at Burke Mortuary in Newton.
