He was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by one daughter, Jamie Chittenden; one sister, Katie Chandler; one brother, George Chittenden; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three sisters and one brother. His parents were Albert and Linnie Mitchell Chittenden.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at the funeral home. Gary Murray will officiate. Burial will be in Good Hope Cemetery.
