Linda Pearce, 62, died Thursday, December 6, 2012, at the North Mississippi Medical Center. She was born April 18, 1950, to Billy and Virginia Gambrell Hughes. She was a homemaker and a faithful member of Hopewell Baptist Church. She enjoyed working in her yard and doing home improvement projects. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
Services will be at 11 a. m. Saturday at the Hopewell Baptist Church (1975 Hopewell Keyes Road, Fulton, MS 38843) with Bro. Matt Hudson and Bro. Jackie Gray officiating. Burial will be in the Hopewell Cemetery. McNeece-Morris Funeral Home of Fulton is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Hershell Pearce, of Dorsey; two daughters, Carla Pearce (Brian Pitts) of Mooreville and Shea Guntharp (Jason) of Dorsey; one brothers, Scotty Hughes (Renee) of Mooreville; one sister, Lana Leathers of Dorsey; six grandchildren, Lierin Loden, Reid Loden, Jordan Guntharp, Lauren Guntharp, Eden Guntharp, and Emma Guntharp; one sister-in-law, Bobbie Schreppel; and her best friend, Sue Gray of Dorsey.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a nephew, Michael Leathers; and her step-father, C. D. Pitts.
Pallbearers will be Roy Rock, John Gray, James McMillen, Rick Carson, Adrian Mattox, and Tommy Lee.
Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Reed, Tim Sellars, J. D. Clifton, Chris Nash, and Bob Knight.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p. m. Friday and from 7 a. m. until 10 a. m. Saturday at McNeece-Morris Funeral Home in Fulton.
