Clifford F. "Cliff" Hale, 78, of Delevan, WI, formerly of Genoa City, WI, died Friday, Aug. 31, 2007, at his home. Mr. Hale was born in Janesville, WI, on May 20, 1929, son of the late Raymond and Florence (Bradford) Hale. He married Arlene Roath-Larson on June 22, 1968, in Genoa City, WI. He was a member of the Beloit Moose for over 30 years and loved bowling. He owned and operated Hale Builders in Genoa City for 30 years, retiring in 2003.
He is survived by his wife, Arlene; 3 daughters; Mary (Fred) Jackson of Beloit, WI, Phyllis (Rick) Harle of Machesney Park, IL, and Susan (Greg) Goodhue of Oxford, WI; a son, Bruce (Patti) Hale of Beloit, WI; 2 step- daughters, Esther (Don) Reimer of Burlington, WI, and Diana ("Snork") Gandt of Slinger, WI, 3 stepsons; Irving (Susan) Larson of Pittsville, WI, Jesse Larson of Delevan, WI, and Russell Larson of Pell Lake, WI; 38 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson; a sister Phyllis Van Galder of Janesville, WI; and a brother, Roger "Buzz" (Shirley) Hale of Beloit, WI. He was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Shirley Larson; a daughter-in-law, Carol Larson, a granddaughter, Carrie Larson; a great-granddaughter, Jenny Wells; a sister, Evelyn Adamson; and 4 brothers: Kenneth, Robert, Gordon and Raymond Hale. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2007, until the funeral service at 1 p.m. at Ehorn-Adams Funeral Home, 10011 Main St., Richmond, IL. Rev. Mark Showalter will officiate. Internment will be at the Cedarvale Cemetery in Solon Mills, IL.
