Vincent immigrated from Pozan, Poland. He and his wife came through Ellis Island on January 20, 1904 and brought with them five children: Stanislaw (8 months - called Stanley), Josefa (6 yrs) - Rosa's stepdaughter, Stanislawa (9 yrs - female), and Pelagia (2 yrs -(called Blanch). He and Rose lived in Pennsylvania until moving to York County about 1910. He worked in a rope factory on Franfurt Avenue in Philadelphia, PA. There was going to be a cement factory in York County and the company recruited Polish workers, i.e., Vincent came to work here. The plant (American Cememt Co) started out as a small firebrick producing plant near the Waterview Plantation. The gentleman financing the future plant went down on the Titanic. The Marl stone in the area was perfect for making brick.


Funeral servfices were held at the Amory funeral home in Crafton at 10 in the morning by the Rev. Chester Jawkobski, Port Richmond, for Vincent W. Borowski, 70, Hornsbyville who died at 7 Monday morning at his home after a lengthyillness. Interment was at Waterview cemetery at Hornbyville. Surviving was his wife, Mrs. Rose Boroski; four sons, Charles, John and Joseph Borowski of Hornsbyville, and Stanley Borowski of Detroit; four daughters, Mrs. Victoris Dunn and Mrs. Mary Bartech of Phoebus; Mrs. Blanche Kotlarek of Philadelphia, and Miss Frances Borowski of Hornsbyville, and eight grandchildren.
