Mrs. Nora Boyle

JANESVILLE - Mrs. Nora Boyle, 85, died Saturday (Jan. 13, 1973) in a hospital after a brief illness.

The former Nora Kealy was born in Stoughton and was a Janesville resident since 1926. She was married to Owen Boyle in 1920. He died in 1947.

She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and its Altar Society.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Helen Weist, Chicago; and two sisters, Mrs. Alice Hull, Janesville; and Sister Armelle Kealy, River Forest, Ill.

Note: in the 1900 Census, Nora is listed as "Elnora Kealy". I haven't yet located her birth certificate, but until I do, I will continue to refer to her as Nora. That is how she is listed on all the remaining censuses, and how her death certificate names her. All her surviving relatives called her "Nora". I will also be checking into the matter of her headstone, which for some reason, apparently lists her name as Eleanor.
