(Davis) Wingfield; dear father and father-in-law of Doug (Lisa) Wingfield, Steve (Beth) Wingfield, Melody (Scott) Sutherland, Tim (Joy) Wingfield, Mindy (Marcelle) Sams and Paul (Julia) Wingfield; dear grandfather of 19; great grandfather of 3; dear son of Julia and the late Harvey Wingfield; dear brother of William and Gorden Wingfield; dear brother-inlaw, uncle, cousin, nephew and friend to many. Charles was the minister of First Christian Church of Florissant for 40 years. He served in the ministry for 55 years. Services: Visitation Saturday, Dec. 8, 1:30-3pm. Service 3-4pm. Visitation 4-5:30pm at First Christian Church, 2890 Patterson Road, Florissant, MO 63031. Burial will be near his family home in VA. Charles D. Wingfield served in ministries in Ohio and Tennessee before being called to serve at First Christian Church of Florissant in 1972. His leadership allowed the congregation to grow through 4 major building campaigns. Charles earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Bible and Preaching from Johnson Bible College, Knoxville, Tennessee and a Master of Divinity from Emmanuel School of Religion, Johnson City, Tennessee. Charles also served as a Trustee on the board of Johnson Bible College.
