Rutherfordton, N.C. - Gladys Jones Bailey, 90, a resident of Oak Grove Health Care Center, Rutherfordton, died on Saturday, December 1, 2012.
A native of Cherokee County, N.C., she was born on October 18, 1922, a daughter of the late John Harrison and Larah Fortanbury Jones.
She was a retired waitress and a member of Main Street Baptist Church, Spindale.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Wesley Garland Bailey. She is survived by two daughters, Janice Morgan and husband Jimmy of Rutherfordton and husband Karen Gammon of Rutherfordton; her grandchildren, Mona Morgan, Mark Morgan, Jason Morgan, and Wesley Williams; seven great grandchildren.
At the request of the family, a private burial will be held at Spindale City Cemetery.
