Arthur J. Groff, 92, formerly of Mohnton R.D.4, Brecknock Township,
died early Saturday morning in Zerbe Sisters Nursing Center, Narvon R.D.1, Lancaster County, where he had resided since Oct. 15, 1993.

His wife, Ella M. (Bowman) Groff, died Dec. 24, 1992.

Born in Bowmansville, Lancaster County, he was a son of the late Horace W. and Mamie (Gehman) Groff.

A carpenter for 69 years, Groff owned and operated the former A.J. Groff Carpenter from his residence until his retirement.

He was a member of the Calvary Church of the Nazarene, Reading.

Surviving are two sons, Donald W. and Arthur A., both of Mohnton
R.D.4; and three daughters: Ethel A., wife of Allen L. Depue, Lancaster; Joyce A., wife of James McLaughlin, Holiday, Fla.; and
Connie A., wife of Albert E. Hollinger, Adamstown, Lancaster County.

Other survivors include a brother, Ray, Bowmansville; and three sisters: Esther, widow of Clayton Good, and Eleanor, widow of Charles Lane, both of Bowmansville; and Charlotte, wife of Marvin Good, Sebring, Fla.
There are also eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two step great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.

Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Joseph D. Giles Funeral Home Inc., Mohnton. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Spring Township.
