He was born April 23, 1925 in Clayton, son of Hurley and Lola Hughes Fleming . He married Mary Katherine Wills on July 17, 1948 in Clinton. She passed away April 17, 2004. He was also preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
He is survived by his children, Linda (Stephen) Arteman and Michael Fleming; four grandchildren, Jeremy, Valerie, Shelley and Morgan; two great-grandchildren and one sister, Carleen Wheeler.
