Keith M. Shelton, 83, of Port Crane, went to be with the Lord, January 17, 2004 after an extended illness. He was predeceased by his parents, Merwin and Grace. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 28 1/2 years, Leona Shelton, Port Crane; one daughter and son-in-law, Kathleen and Robert Markert, Binghamton; a daughter-in-law, Patricia Shelton, Conklin; a son, Tom; his stepchildren, Donald and Audrey Robinson, Binghamton, Connie and Lauren Doupe and Gail Steele, all of Port Crane; fourteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren; one brother-in-law, Robert Sterling, Windsor; also several nieces and nephews. He graduated from Whitney Point High School, retired after 25 years of service as an upholsterer at Kroehler Furniture and taught some upholstery classes. He was a Boy Scout Leader for many years and was a knowledgeable handyman, enjoying hunting, bowling and making woodcrafts in his younger years. Keith enjoyed his word search books and spent twelve years with friends in Zephyrhills, Florida. He was also a member of the Conklin Avenue First Baptist Church, Binghamton.
