Cherie Adams was born Oct. 23, 1918, in Walla Walla. She moved to Portland as a child. She graduated from the University of Portland School of Nursing and was a flight attendant for United Airlines in the 1940s. She later was a registered nurse for several doctors' offices, hospitals and nursing homes. She moved to La Jolla, Calif., in 1969. In 1941, she married Paul; they later divorced.
Survivors include her son, Steven; daughters, Cherie E. Mulder and Cathy Feehan; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
