Don W. Wheeler, 83, of 194 Mercury Ct. passed away Monday, December 3, 2012 at 12:30 A.M. at Wilson Memorial Hospital.
He was born on May 17, 1929 in Sidney, Ohio, the son of the late Holland and Pearl (McClure) Wheeler.
On November 28, 1948 he married Joan Dormire who survives along with two sons, Mike Wheeler of Maplewood, OH and Russ Wheeler of Troy, OH. Four grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and one brother, Wayne B. Wheeler of Tuson, AZ.
Don formerly owned and operated the Wheeler IGA store in Sidney for 15 years, then went on to work at Airstream in Jackson Center for 10 years. He and Joan then opened and operated Camp Qtokie for 15 years before retiring.
Following Don's request, there will be no funeral service or calling hours prior to his burial at Greenlawn Cemetery in DeGraff, OH. Funeral arrangements are in the care of the Cromes Funeral Home, Inc. , 302 S. Main Ave.
